My ankle and leg were still healing from the accident so I had to wear flip flops which made for an interesting hike, but I made it round trip ok.

When I have some free time I would love to go volunteer at the Zoo and see how it is all run and hopefully spend some time with some of the amazing mammals.Sunday, May 16, 2010

Thankgiving Point Petting Zoo
I took Cohen to the petting zoo with my sister-in-law Michelle and my cousin-in-law Katie and their (6) girls. Cohen's favorite part was the jail house. He had fun feeding the animals corn, but really wasn't as interested as I thought he would have been. When I tried to get him to ride the horse, we wasn't into it and got off half way through. Silly boy! It was really hot so we saw all the animals and then took off and grabbed some lunch!

Gus' Gang Family Reunion 2009
I married into an awesome family! We have a huge reunion every other year and Scott and I were so excited to go! Last reunion Cohen was a new baby, it is so fun to see how everyone has changed and to spend time hanging out, cooking, relaxing, eating good food and playing games! There were 19 kids and 23 adults (if I counted right) that were able to make it this year! We all met at the Hale Ranch in Capital Reef for 4 days (July 9-12).

At the reunion we got our dogs back!!! We are so thankful to Scott's sister Tracy and his parents for taking such good care of our girls for months while we moved to Boston and back (they kept them for us at their home in California)! They had to do a lot for them (health wise) and we can't express enough how much this helped us out and how much it meant to us! We are so excited to have them back, we really missed them!

We went on hikes/walks, had multiple volleyball games and all the kids loved the motorcycles, trampoline, endless treats, playing together and playing with our dogs!

Scott with his parents!

Cohen loved the soft sand out by the petrogliphs.

Gus was Scott's grandfather! They have been doing reunions for years and started calling themselves Gus' Gang years ago. They have a new shirt each reunion.
Here is the family picture this year!

Girls Lunches
When I first got home I got together with some long lost friends that I hadn't seen much since junior high (good old CVJH)! We met up for lunch at Zupas in Provo and had fun talking and catching up.
These girls are awesome and have shown me support throughout the years even though we don't talk that often. Through my miscarriages they offered encouragement and brought gifts when I finally had Cohen's baby shower!
Me, Melissa, Leslee, Michelle and Dallas

A few weeks later I met up with some more of my favorite friends, Ashley and Kristen. We went to Rumbi and had a fun girls afternoon shopping at the mall. We all realized we are true mom's now because we spent almost the entire time in the Disney store shopping for our kids!(Kristen was getting overtaken by pregnant stomachs in this picture! :))

Wake Boarding on Utah Lake
One evening Scott's cousins, John and Amber, invited us out on their boat for some wake boarding fun! This was Scott's first time and he got up quick and did really well! Cohen and I loved watching him out on the water, but as soon as Scott wiped out Cohen was really concerned and yelled for him. Once he saw he was ok, he calmed down.
We really enjoyed the beautiful weather, soaking in the sun!
