Ryder's Blessing

We blessed Ryder at church the Sunday after Christmas. It was a special day for us and we enjoyed having all of Scott's family and some of mine there as well as close friends. Ryder looked so handsome in his little outfit (thanks Ash!) and Scott was a proud Daddy! (Cohen was pretty impossible to have in any of the pics so he is M.I.A.)

Christmas Day!

We feel especially blessed this year by all our family and those who helped give us a great Christmas!
2009 was hard for us, like so many across the nation. But it has also been humbling and strengthening to see the outpouring of love and support we have received so I am grateful for the trials and what they teach us.
Christmas morning Cohen was so excited to see his very own bike from Santa in front of the tree!
We spent the morning together unwrapping toys and playing!

I wish I had taken more pictures of the rest of the day at Michelle's house, but we were busy with all the kids, toys, cooking and having fun together I didn't have a chance!
I really couldn't have picked better sister-in-laws! Stephanie, Tracy and Michelle have been great friends to me and I love them! They are supportive and fun and there for me when I need them! Too bad two of them live in California. But Michelle is so close I can walk to her house so that kinda makes up for it!
I love when Scott's parents come visit. They are a great example to us and I am grateful for the love that they share and the values they have taught their children.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and spent it with the ones they love!

Christmas Eve

We spent part of Christmas Eve with my Mom and Kay and his kids. They made an amazingly delicious dinner at Kay's then we went back to my mom's to do presents with her since we would be with Scott's family all of Christmas Day.

Christmas Kick Off!

My mom started a tradition where we have a kids slumber party a couple weeks before Christmas and watch Polar Express. We now look forward to Polar Express Night because it really makes it feel like Christmas time! There are lots of treats including hot chocolate and popcorn, pizza and pop, pajamas and a toy to open and they got pillow animals to sleep on. My mom sure does know how to throw a party!
Kaden, Cameron, Kayler, Desi, Devan and Cohen
(Can you see why I ruled out C, K and D names for Ryder?)
The boys all got Transformers! Cohen LOVED his Bumble Bee Robot!

Good Friends

In November my friend Stephanie came to visit from Logan. We have been friends since 6th grade and love that we still keep in touch. When we get together it seems as though no time has past at all!

In December Jen, Jessica and I had a much needed girls night. We had cheesecake, chips and salsa, hot chocolate and best of all, time to ourselves to sit and talk!
I love girls nights!

Thanksgiving in Moab

Scott, the boys and I took our first little family trip down to Moab for Thanksgiving! I hadn't been in two years which was a long time to me since my family use to go visit twice a year growing up. We got to stay with my grandparents and had such a great week spending time together and with all the other relatives in town. We had our annual massive Thanksgiving Feast there at a church and a lot of the group was there this year!
My Grandparents adored Ryder and loved and cuddled him tons!
They are so wonderful, I feel so lucky to have them!
Cohen was too busy running around, having fun and being a little monkey to have time for pics

Ryder's ER trip

Ryder had a temp of 102 (along with a few other symptoms) late one night, when I called the on call nurse to ask how much Tylenol to give him she told us to take him to the emergency room since he was less than 2 months old. They did a urine sample, suctioned his nose, ran fluids through an IV, took blood and did an X Ray. They also wanted to do a spinal tap, but I told them I didn't want to unless we needed to after all the other tests. He was such a brave little guy and hardly cried! We were there most of the night and everything was coming back clear. They had given him Tylenol and his fever was coming down so they ended up sending us home! They were overly cautious since he was so little and it was a nerve racking night, but I was thankful everything was just fine and the little unknown virus was gone within a day or two!
Hopefully we don't have to visit the ER again anytime soon!

6 weeks have gone by = picture overload!

We have been very busy with our two boys! Here are a bunch of my favorite pictures from the last 6 weeks in rewind.

Cohen officially knows how to use a breast pump...

The boys hangin' out!
Cuddle baby
This baby sac was something I bought years ago during all of our miscarriages and it hung on my closet door for a long time. I longed for a baby to fill it... it warms my entire being seeing my sweet Ryder wear it!First Family Picture
(If Cohen looks grumpy, it's because he WAS! He was trying to run away by diving out of our arms in most of the pics. This was the best one...)
Tummy Time
Daddy with his boys
Newborn and Toddler Toes

Grandma and Grandpa Green came from California to visit and to help out!
Grandma stayed longer to play with Cohen and cook us lots of great meals!
Cohen has been busy "fixing" our house.
Peaceful sleeper (with lots of baby grunting!)
Sitting on the potty... just not using it yet.
My dad came to visit from Colorado!
My mom just adores her new grand baby.
Depending on the day, Cohen adores him too...
